The nesting block contains live leafcutter bee larvae, ready to hatch, fly and pollinate in the warm summer months. It makes a wonderful gift for gardeners to enjoy for many seasons to come.
Leafcutter bees are gentle and non- aggressive solitary bees which stay close to their home. A single female leafcutter bee may visit thousands of blossoms in a day, and with enough flowers, will stay within 100-200 metres of their nesting habitat. This makes it a wonderful learning experience for everyone and very fascinating to watch them work their magic.
